What Vouch Explorer is

A free, open-source tool that reads public VOUCHED.td files from GitHub and shows which projects have vouched for or denounced an account. The source code is on GitHub under the MIT license.

The data isn't ours

Every vouch and denouncement shown was published by the maintainers of that project, in their own repository. Vouch Explorer repeats it with a link to where it came from. It is not our opinion of anyone, and a denouncement in one project says nothing about how another project should treat that person.

AI summaries are generated by a language model from public GitHub activity. They can be wrong or incomplete. Check the linked evidence before relying on them.

Use it fairly

You agree not to use Vouch Explorer to:

• harass, shame or target anyone, inside or outside open source;
• block, approve or rank people automatically from its output, without a person looking at the evidence;
• scrape it in bulk or put heavy load on it;
• break GitHub's terms of service or the law.

Signing in

Signing in uses your GitHub account. Lookups you make while signed in count against your own GitHub API limit. You can sign out at any time, and you can revoke access from your GitHub settings.

No warranty

Vouch Explorer is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It may be incomplete, out of date, unavailable, or stop working at any time. Lists that GitHub search doesn't index are missed, and some decisions can't be attributed to a person. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made using it.

Corrections

If something shown about you is wrong, or you want your profile hidden, open an issue. To change a vouch or denouncement itself, contact the project that made it.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
